How We Started.       

The Emerald City Kings Ball is a celebration of all Kings and Beings of Drag that began as a conversation between our two founders, Jabriel Gaymess and Sherwood Ryder, in a backstage green room. At that moment, the Emerald City Kings Ball was born. On November 25th, 2022, we kicked off our two-night all kings & beings showcase at the incredible Factory Luxe at the historic Ranier Brewery in Seattle, WA.

It was after we wrapped up the night that we knew this movement needed something bigger, so we decided to turn this showcase into a three-day festival and invite kings and beings from all over to showcase their art. Our Innagurual Festival took place Sep. 15th-17th, 2023, and was SOLD OUT all three days!

With that said, our second international festival will be taking place in September 2024!
